The Marfione Custom Protocol was designed by Anthony Marfiones son Sean Marfione, this would be Sean's second folder collaboration after the Marfione Starlord and before the Warhound Folder. The design language and overall concept behind the protocol break from the standard Marfione custom in many ways first of which is the EDC friendly size and practical nature of the knife. Available in two variations the standard drop point and the reverse tanto Wharncliffe style blade, both were bolster style frame locks making design references to the sub-frame locks of years past. The Protocol was a snappy little flipper that saw popularity amongst the dressier crowd that carries customs, these do not come up often on the secondary and the nicer mirror polish versions are considered rare.
